Daisy_Shengluo_Processing<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

My conference work for this semester is a series of processing art work about \u201cFlower.\u201d The idea of \u201cFlower\u201d first came from one of my \u201cRandom_Continue_break\u201d homework, called \u201cDaisy.” I would like to show different styles of flowers and gardens by using patterns and code.<\/p>\n

Personally, I really\u00a0appreciate\u00a0Vera Moln\u00e1r’s works,\u00a0especially her “<\/span>(Des) Ordres\u201d (1976). I love the\u00a0combination of well ordered shapes and some little peaceful variations in her works. Well-ordered works\u00a0make me feel\u00a0comfortable and\u00a0<\/span>relax<\/span>, and few well-organized alterations turn the works more vivid and rich.\u00a0Like Matt Pearson\u00a0descried his raggedy line in his book\u00a0\u201cGenerative Art: A Practical Guide Using Processing\u201d: the line is less controlled, yet not so chaotic as to be useless*. I want my works look like this.<\/p>\n

In the \u201cFlowers\u201d, both the flowers and the backgrounds parts will be animated. The \u201cflowers” part will mainly use random, continue and break to make, a little bit noise may be used as well. This part will present “not-so-randomness”. For the \u201cbackground\u201d part, different pieces will use different active mode, including noise, variance and dimension. The reference of most color themes in \u201cFlower\u201d will be Adobe Color CC**.<\/span><\/p>\n

I believe that the \u201cFlower\u201d will look great. I have 3 complete works so far, and they are \u201cGrowing\u201d, \u201cOrigin\u201d and \u201cWindy\u201d. Using \u201cOrigin\u201d as an example, the green patterns in the background are presenting the roots of plants. Root is the original part of a plant, so I named it as \u201cOrigin\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n

I will keep working on the other two works of \u201cFlower.”<\/span><\/p>\n
