My portrait basically comes from the idea “abstract”.
It was mentioned in our class, and I thought it is a good way to show how I consider myself throughout my work. To me, mosaic is a method to generalise the details of one image; it helps to describe my feelings about how I feel to surrounding environment–the very original picture is a selfie I took several days ago, and I tried to use mosaic to show that I am still new here–mosaic spreads the image into pieces, making my face look like a stranger.The code itself is not hard but repeated–it seems like endless to finish. However, the final expression exactly matched my prediction.
